The Office of the Chaplain holds the paramount spiritual jurisdiction over the 3rd Agona Swedru Companies, functioning as the foundational authority that ensures the entire combined body of Boys and Girls fulfills the Brigade's sacred Christian Object. This office is the church's direct representative, providing the essential moral compass and spiritual framework required for the development of all members, guaranteeing all activities align with Christian principles.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

This mandate is discharged through the formal provision of spiritual instruction and guidance. The Office is responsible for cultivating an atmosphere where habits of reverence, discipline, and moral character are established among the Boys and Girls, accomplished by leading communal prayer, devotions, and religious education. Furthermore, the Office maintains the critical ecclesiastical nexus, guaranteeing the Companies are fully integrated into the life and worship of the sponsoring Church. Finally, the Chaplain's Office provides an essential mechanism for pastoral oversight and ethical accountability. This involves offering confidential spiritual guidance to the Officers and ensuring that sensitive counsel and support are readily accessible to every Boy and Girl within the Companies, serving as a trusted resource for personal challenges.

The Office of the Girls’ Captain provides overall leadership and supervision of the Girls’ Company of the 3rd Agona Swedru Companies. The Office advances the Brigade’s Christian mission by planning and overseeing programs that guide the Girls to seek, serve, and follow Christ. The Girls’ Captain serves as the chief leader and role model for both the Girls and the Officers of the Company.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

The Office coordinates the work of all Officers within the Girls’ Company, assigning responsibilities for drills, skills training, and the successful delivery of the Girls’ award schemes. It also ensures proper record-keeping, responsible management of Company resources, and full compliance with Brigade regulations to protect the welfare and development of the Girls. In addition, the Girls’ Captain acts as the main point of contact for matters concerning the Girls, working closely with the Chaplain and parents to support their spiritual, moral, and personal growth. The Office ensures that the Girls’ Company presents itself as a disciplined, united, and exemplary body at all parades and official engagements, reflecting the Brigade’s Christian values.

The Boys’ Captain serves as the chief leader and role model for both the Boys and the Officers assigned to the Company.

The Office coordinates the work of all Officers within the Boys’ Company, assigning responsibilities for drills, specialized training, and the effective delivery of the Boys’ award schemes. It also ensures accurate record-keeping, proper maintenance of Company equipment, and strict adherence to all Brigade regulations concerning the Boys. Additionally, the Boys’ Captain acts as the primary liaison for Boys’ activities, working closely with the, the Chaplain, Officers and parents to support the welfare and development of the Boys. The Office ensures that the Boys’ Company consistently presents itself as a disciplined, well-trained, and unified body, reflecting excellence and commitment to the Brigade’s core values at all parades and public engagements.
