Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Brigade Management System ("System") of the 3rd Agona Swedru Companies of the Boys' and Girls' Brigade ("we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our System.

2. Eligibility

Use of this System is restricted to:

  • Active members of the 3rd Agona Swedru Companies (Boys' and Girls' Brigade)
  • Officers and authorized staff members
  • Parents or legal guardians of members
  • Alumni with approved access

For members under 18 years of age, parental or guardian consent is required. By registering an account for a minor, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian and consent to their use of the System.

3. User Accounts

Account Creation

  • You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account

Account Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:

  • Violate these Terms of Service
  • Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
  • Misuse or abuse the System
  • Are inactive for extended periods

4. Permitted Use

You agree to use the System only for the following purposes:

  • Managing brigade membership and activities
  • Tracking attendance and participation
  • Communicating with other members, officers, and parents
  • Accessing learning materials and educational content
  • Viewing and managing financial records (if authorized)
  • Monitoring your child's progress (for parent accounts)

5. Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the System for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or data
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
  • Harass, bully, or threaten other users
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Scrape, copy, or extract data from the System without authorization
  • Interfere with or disrupt the System's functionality
  • Use automated tools or bots without permission

6. Content and Intellectual Property

Our Content

All content, features, and functionality of the System, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

User Content

By uploading photos, messages, or other content to the System, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content within the System for brigade management purposes. You retain ownership of your content.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of the System is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the System, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Communication and Notifications

By using the System, you agree to receive communications from us, including:

  • Event notifications and reminders
  • Achievement and award announcements
  • Attendance reports (for parents)
  • System updates and maintenance notices
  • Important brigade announcements

You can manage your notification preferences in your account settings.

9. Payments and Financial Transactions

If you use the System to process dues payments or donations:

  • All payments are final and non-refundable unless otherwise stated
  • You agree to provide accurate payment information
  • You are responsible for any fees or charges from your payment provider
  • Payment records are maintained for accounting and transparency purposes

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The System is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the System will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We are not responsible for any technical issues, data loss, or service disruptions.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

  • Your use or inability to use the System
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers or your personal information
  • Any interruption or cessation of the System
  • Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting a notice on the System or sending an email notification. Your continued use of the System after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Ghana.
